About Stella’s Place
Stella’s Place is a Toronto-based charity supporting young adults (16–29) experiencing
mental health challenges with free, accessible services—from peer support and
counselling to skills-based and creative programming.

About the Opportunity
In recognition of World Mental Health Day (October 10), Stella’s Place is mobilizing
volunteers for a GTA-wide Campus Day of Action the week of October 3–10, 2026; the
exact date TBD in mid-September. You’ll join a team of BMO colleagues to raise
awareness among post-secondary students about the free mental health supports
available at Stella’s Place.

What You’ll Do
Campus Outreach Blitz (Day of Action)
• Work in teams of 6–10 volunteers assigned to GTA campuses
• Engage students through friendly, approachable conversations
• Distribute materials and share key info about free services
• Help reduce stigma and increase access to mental health supports

What You WON'T Do
Offer mental health advice or support. You will wear a Stella’s Place Community Volunteer identifier and will not be expected (or permitted) to offer mental health advice. This is an opportunity to direct young adults to expert support, build community and help reduce stigma around seeking help for mental health as you “boldly grow the good”.

Pre-Event Orientation (Required)
• 3-hour in-person orientation at Stella’s Place earlier in the week
• Training includes messaging, engagement tips, and mental health sensitivity
• Meet your team and prepare for outreach

Time Commitment – 5-9 hours over 2-days
